Bino Rodrigues

Bino Rodrigues left school at 17 to join the Portuguese Paratroopers, taking part in two overseas missions in East Timor under the UN. After four years, he felt the need to explore new experiences, enrolling in an art school and working abroad in different industries. Back in Porto, he resumed his studies, earning a degree in marketing while continuing to work in commercial business and launching his own fashion brand.

He discovered his passion for SMP while searching for a solution to his hair loss. After extensive research, he identified a gap in the Portuguese market and decided to take a leap of faith, becoming one of the pioneers of scalp micropigmentation in Portugal. He received his initial training with Matt Iulo at Scalpmicro USA in NYC in 2018 and, before starting to work, he underwent the procedure himself to fully understand every step of the process. From that moment, his passion turned into a true love for the industry.

He founded ScalpStetic @scalpstetic and turned his personal experience into his company’s mission: "We are committed to changing lives."2021 was the year of his (r)evolution: winning Tony Abbagnato’s Giveaway gave him the opportunity to further refine his skills. After his training, his work reached a whole new level, and his confidence and expertise continue to grow, always with the support of Tony and Chris Abbagnato.
